Arranging documents for puppy transportation abroad

List of required documents for traveling abroad:
1. Electronic identification
Electronic identification is the microchipping of the animal performed at a veterinary clinic. The chip contains electronic information. A puppy must be microchipped at the very first stage of travel preparation; any tests conducted before microchipping are considered invalid.
2. Veterinary passport
An international veterinary passport is a pet's document containing information about the owner and the animal itself, as well as records of vaccinations, treatments performed, and microchip data.
3. Rabies vaccination
Rabies vaccinations are administered at a veterinary clinic, typically at 12 weeks of age. The vaccine is considered valid only after a successful rabies antibody titration test, after which travel abroad is permitted. The vaccine is valid for 1 year. All vaccinations must be recorded in the veterinary passport.
4. Rabies antibody titration certificate (Titer test)
This certificate confirms that the rabies vaccination was effective. Blood for this test is drawn at least 30 days after vaccination. Its validity period matches the validity of the vaccine.
5. Form 1 VET, International Health Certificate
The 1 VET certificate is issued based on the veterinary passport data and must be exchanged for an International Health Certificate at the border veterinary point during the crossing. Form 1 VET is valid for 5 days, and the International Health Certificate is valid for 3 days.
